Construction And Operation Of Desulfurization Facilities In Thermal Power Plants

According to the "letter on Entrusting desulfurization investigation of thermal power plants" issued by the pollution control department of the State Environmental Protection Administration, the boiler furnace desulfurization and dust removal Committee of China Association of environmental protection industries carried out the investigation on the construction and operation of desulfurization facilities in thermal power plants during the Tenth Five Year Plan period. The research work is mainly divided into three aspects: good material research, written research on major desulfurization companies and field research on completed projects. The research contents mainly include sulfur dioxide emission, laws and regulations, supervision, construction of desulfurization facilities, development of desulfurization industry, operation and management of units put into operation and existing major problems during the Tenth Five Year Plan period. The investigation scope covers the flue gas desulfurization facilities built for 50MW and above units, excluding the desulfurization measures in the boiler, such as circulating fluidized bed boiler, burning low sulfur coal, adding additives (excluding the planned projects in the two control areas).

In addition to being harmful to human health as a primary pollutant, nitrogen oxides discharged from coal-fired industrial boilers also produce a variety of secondary pollution. Nitrogen oxide is one of the important precursors of ozone generation, and it is also an important reason for the formation of regional fine particle pollution and haze. I have made great progress in the control of soot and sulfur dioxide emissions from coal-fired industrial boilers over the past 20 years, but still can not meet the increasingly stringent environmental requirements. Nitrogen oxide control is still in the pilot and initial stage, so the project plans to focus on nitrogen oxide control.

Entrusted by the pollution control department of the State Environmental Protection Administration, the desulfurization and dust removal Committee of boiler and kiln of China Environmental Protection Industry Association assisted China Environmental Protection Industry Association in organizing the adjustment, research and analysis of nitrogen oxide emission and control status of thermal power plants from April 2007 to January 2008, and led by the association Research on technical scheme of NOx emission control in thermal power plants. The research goal of this project is: to systematically investigate the NOx emission level, combustion process influencing factors and control technology of our coal-fired power plant, based on the comprehensive analysis and evaluation, draw lessons from the developed experience, and put forward the NOx control technology scheme suitable for our situation.
